...but my hair is FABULOUS!
My love affair with hair began at an early age and seems to never end!
My natural hair is similar in texture to what I call "Rudy Huxtable" hair - thick, poofy and plentiful. It has been cut to an even mid-neck level and has been through it's share of changes! I have worn everything from cornrows, "Janet Jackson" Poetic Justice box braids, a Wave Nouveau (don't ask and I won't tell LOL), relaxer, too tight - temple diminishing microbraids, itchy and bulky sew-in weaves, take-my-hair-out bonded weaves, makeshift human hair ponytails and FINALLY I found the love of my life...full lace wigs!
When I first began wearing lace wigs the most difficult task was trying to find someone who was willing to walk me through the process, let alone reveal their own secret to beautiful hair.

My Hair Philosophy: Having FABULOUS hair can improve your outlook.
Like most of you, I grew up going through many hair changes. I've tried relaxers, braids, weaves, and everything in between. And I must admit that my hair has not always received the care it deserves.
A few years ago, I noticed that my hair began to thin in areas around the temple. I knew that there was a genetic predisposition for some degree of Alopecia in my family, but I had still taken risks with my hair.
Lace wigs are my hair saviour. They allow me to give my hair a rest without applying any pressure or chemicals. My hair is often wrapped under a wig cap before my lace wig application. In between applications, I wash and deep condition my own hair, which has now grown past my shoulders and is slowly recovering from years of abuse.
Since ShopLaceWigs.com was launched, I have been amazed at the number of people I have met with hair loss issues. I have met both women and children who have lost their hair to cancer treatment and Alopecia. For me, it is a humbling experience when others choose to open up and share their hair loss stories. I feel compelled to do what I can to help each person find the best hair replacement solution.
